PLANNING CARE · EDMONTON

Clearer questions. Better care conversations.

Understanding the cost of care is part of getting started. We discuss your needs, suitable support and the arrangements that may help you plan with confidence.

Ask about direct invoicing and funding

HM CRAH helps families discuss Alberta Blue Cross direct invoicing and the AHS Client-Directed Home Care Program. The arrangements that apply will depend on the person receiving care and their coverage or program eligibility.

Coverage is individual. Before services begin, confirm eligibility, approved services, billing arrangements and any amount you may need to pay yourself.

Bring these questions to your consultation

  1. Which services would suit our needs, and what do they cost?
  2. Is there a minimum visit length or a scheduling requirement?
  3. Which funding or insurance arrangements may apply to us?
  4. Can you explain what can be invoiced directly and what we pay?
  5. What happens if our needs, schedule or funding changes?

How we help you get started

Start with a free care consultation. Share a brief overview of the support you need. The team can then discuss an assessment, care options, availability and costs with you.

You do not need to send private financial or medical records through the website to begin a conversation.

Plan around the person

Practical home support, personal care, medication support, respite, companionship and specialized care can be discussed as part of an individual plan.
